IC-CIDeR backs up virtual systems during operation and immediately restores the virtual infrastructure in case of a disaster. It provides state-of-the-art backup procedures. The restore process is fast and simple. IC-CIDeR stands for one central and sophisticated backup and disaster recovery concept in one module - easy-to-use via one uniform interface.

IC-CIDeR offers comprehensive security.

IC-CIDeR initiates the backups of virtual machines via ESX / XenServer, VCB and IC server. It creates and archives the backups on a fileserver as well as on a backup system.
IC-CIDeR provides full backups as well as differentials. In addition, IC-CIDeR enables backups of complete and singel virtual disks.

The application-consistent backup from IC-CIDeR uses a VM agent to ensure that databases can be powered down for very short periods, for example, in order to restore them to a consistent state; usually within less than 15 minutes. The advantage:All business applications can be backed up in the shortest possible time and systems administrators face far less follow-up work in the event of a restore scenario.

Worlwide unique...

...is IC-CIDeR's full integration in the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and HP Data Protector. It communicates directly with TSM and HP Data Protector, analyzing all of the corresponding log entries. With IC-CIDeR virtual machines are conveniently backed up directly from the ESX / XenServer into TSM and HP Data Protector – without scripting and fully automatically.

Quick Recovery

In addition to restore processes of VMs and cloning at all locations of the farm IC-CIDeR also offers the possibility to recover applications and data in a matter of seconds. With the option Quick Recovery no restore process is necessary. The recovery time objective is reduced to a minimum and the return on investment is maximized.

Host2Host-Backup

Thanks to asynchronous replication via Host2Host backup IC-CIDeR also allows direct backups of virtual machines on alternative ESX / XenServers. That way different storage systems are comfortably connected whereas aspects like security, generation management and speed of the recovery process are guaranteed.

Optimum Management

Thanks to sophisticated groupings of virtual machines including the possibility to define exceptions for each job and each VM you can professionally adjust all backup processes to your needs. You only have to define the groups once and IC-CIDeR helps you saving time and money! In addition to group management, IC-CIDeR's generation management allows you to restore backups to a time in the more distant past.

IC-CIDeR saves space and time, thus reducing costs.

In addition to full backups IC-CIDeR offers differential backups as well. Furthermore, compression rates of up to 90% save precious storage space and allow to send the compressed backups easily via WAN. Furthermore, all or just single virtuals disks can be backed up.

External Scheduling Solutions

With IC-SchED you can integrate your external scheduling systems (e.g. CONTROL-M, Tivoli Storage Manager etc.) into your backup processes. That way you can start backup jobs and entire group jobs out of your external scheduling software. The administration effort is reduced to start a script so that administrators can flexibly adjust the backup jobs to other processes.
